"Role of Statisticians in Drug Research and Development"
In this talk, I will briefly describe the biopharmaceutical research and drug development process,
provide an overview of Amgen, discuss the roles and responsibilities of statisticians in industry,
and share my thoughts on how statisticians can make a positive impact on the design, conduct,
analysis of clinical trials and ultimately clinical practice.
I will also present a research topic on assessment of drug safety data to give you a flavor of our
summer intern research projects.
