"Analysis of the composite endpoint of longitudinal data and survival data"
Longitudinal data arise when subjects are followed over time.
Important clinical events may also occur in the period of patient follow-up.
We propose a nonparametric test to compare two groups on the composite endpoint
of longitudinal measures and the time to clinical events. This composite endpoint
uses both longitudinal measures and times to clinical events to represent overall
patient condition. Simulation studies suggest that this nonparametric test can be
more powerful in detecting group difference, compared to the analysis of longitudinal
data alone or survival data alone.
