Research & Interests
My primary area of statistical research is in the statistical analysis of high-throughput microarray, proteomic and imaging studies. I also have a strong interest in the methodology for the design and analysis of biomarker discovery and validation studies. I have extensive experience working on cancer related projects with collaborations in oral, lung, prostate, breast and skin cancers. These collaborations include basic science animal studies, biomarker discovery, translational research and clinical trials. My primary appointment is in the Department of Medicine and have a joint appointment in the Department of Biostatistics. I am the director of the Department of Medicine Statistics Core, and a leader of the UCLA CTSI Biostatistics and Computational Biology program.
